Bacon Crackers

Ingredients

1 package butter crackers (like Townhouse or Club crackers, either rectangular or oval in shape)
8-10 slices of bacon
1 cup brown sugar
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 pinch ground black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F/175°C.
Using parchment paper or aluminum foil, line a baking pan.
Arrange crackers on a wire rack in a baking sheet coated with parchment paper. (Because the bacon will hang over the edges of the crackers, leave a little space between them.)
Bacon Crackers are stacked on a rack.
Tip
Using a sharp knife, cut the bacon into thirds or fourths (depending on the length and shape of your crackers). Cut a piece of bacon in half lengthwise and place it on each cracker.
Top the bacon-topped crackers with a large amount of brown sugar (about 1 heaping teaspoon per cracker). Then season with cayenne and black pepper to taste.
